Orb is a simple, single-track digital step sequencer. It can be connected to and played with both analog (CV & Gate) and digital (MIDI) synthesizers.

The sequencer's foundation is a 16-step sequencer. Using the step buttons arranged around its circumference, you can program patterns by entering note duration, pitch, accent, and glide (essential for the TB-303) information within a single measure. With 16 steps, the beat positions correspond to 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and the appropriate information is displayed on the display, making it easy to create acid bass lines with the distinctive nuances of the TB-303. Input, editing, transposition, and other operations can be performed in real time without stopping the sequencer. You can store 256 patterns you create internally, and you can also combine them to create 16 songs.

Orb's greatest appeal is its remix function. Remix is ​​a function that uses two remix knobs (16-position rotary switches) to instantly generate 256 variations of a single pattern. This is not simply a random creation of a pattern; it rearranges the information already entered into the pattern based on a unique mathematical theory to generate musically usable variations. Of course, remix switching can be done while the sequencer is playing, making it extremely effective for real-time live performances.
