The BETA 98AMP/C incorporates newly designed components to further refine the renowned sound quality of BETA Microphones. The newly developed microphone cartridge delivers smooth high-frequency response, capturing every detail of the drum and percussion attack. Its uniform cardioid polar pattern minimizes interference from other sound sources, ensuring precise capture of the intended sound. It also provides ample margin for feedback. Furthermore, the built-in preamp has been redesigned to maximize cartridge performance, achieving a maximum sound pressure level of 157.5dB. Its wide dynamic range easily accommodates even the most intense sound sources.

The BETA 98AMP/C is adaptable to a variety of installation locations and can be quickly and accurately mounted. The newly designed universal microphone mount has a two-way design that combines a mounting adapter for the rim of a snare, tom, or percussion drum, and a mounting adapter for a pole such as a stand. It can be mounted in a variety of locations with just one adapter. It also features a quick-release button that dramatically speeds up attachment and detachment, and a microphone holder that can be freely moved up, down, left, and right, allowing for quick and accurate setup. The microphone itself also comes equipped with a variety of useful features for live performance, such as a gooseneck microphone section that can be fixed in the optimal position, and a built-in preamp that can output via a standard XLR cable.
