■Playback Sampler

Memotron Rack is a rack version of the popular Mellotron-inspired playback sampler, the Memotron Keyboard. It's not just a compact, rack-sized unit; it also boasts expanded functionality, including 128 voices and six multitimbral capabilities, delivering performance that surpasses the original.

Copy sample files from the included library (CD-ROM) to a CompactFlash card using your computer, then load them onto six tracks to freely mix six sounds and play up to 128 voices. You can also connect a 76- or 88-key MIDI master keyboard, split it into six zones, and map each sound to a separate zone to play six parts independently. Despite its compact 1U size, the legendary sound is beautifully preserved, even down to the point where the playback time is doubled to 16 seconds, resulting in a slightly lo-fier sound when the tape speed is halved.

Volume, attack time, release time, and panorama can be set for each track, and 15 high-quality spatial digital effects are built in, allowing you to create sounds with even more imagination.

Two dedicated CD-ROMs are included: the basic Vintage Collection and the Studio Collection.
Optional Vintage Collection 2, 3, and the Berlin School Collection are available.
As expected from a manufacturer that also owns the label Manikin Records, each sound is a wonderful creation reminiscent of King Crimson and Genesis. It can also read files from GMEDIA's M-Tron. A CompactFlash card (included) is used to store and manage sample files.
