This is a waterproof condenser microphone with a gold-coated wave diaphragm in the microphone unit.

The microphone itself is waterproof, conforming to protection class IPX2 (JIS Type II waterproof), and the microphone connector is waterproof, making this a special model designed for a variety of usage environments.

A dedicated water-repellent windscreen is included for resistance to wind noise.

The detachable power module features an 80Hz, 18dB/oct. low-cut filter that effectively reduces wind noise. It supports phantom power from 11 to 52V DC.

A 10.4m microphone cable is included as standard, allowing for easy cable extension to the microphone installation location.

The optional AT853WS microphone holder with windscreen allows for installation on ceilings, walls, etc.
