The DR-510 is a digital cable with a high-quality 5N pure silver center conductor. Coordinated down to the terminals, the DR-510 uses SLSC pure silver contacts to achieve flawless pure silver transmission.

■Conductor
- The center conductor is made of 5N (99.9995%) pure silver, which has the highest conductivity of any metal. Furthermore, we make no compromises in the production process, using continuous casting in a high-frequency electric furnace, 19 cold rolling processes, two annealing processes, drawing using natural diamond dies, and skin-pass processing. This results in high-quality ""silver wire"" that is not only highly pure, but also has no gaps in the grain boundaries.

■Semiconductor Layer
- When a signal flows through the cable, weak vibrations are generated, which cause corona discharges in statically charged materials. Therefore, by adding a semiconductor layer to the outer periphery of the insulation layer, static electricity is released without affecting the conductor.

■Insulator
- The insulator is made of PFA, which has the lowest dielectric constant of any insulating material. Furthermore, a composite structure with FPE (expanded polyethylene) is used to further diffuse vibrations. This ensures not only excellent electrical properties but also vibration resistance.

■ Exterior
- The exterior seldom uses colored materials, simply using a reinforced fiber sleeve. It's also anti-static treated to prevent static buildup due to friction.

■ Two-Layer Shielding
- To provide protection against low-frequency noise, we combined copper tape and tin-plated copper braid. The ""FTVS-510"" further strengthens against high-frequency noise by using a silver-plated copper braid (95%) with high frequency characteristics.

■ Connector with Pure Silver Center Pin
- At Oyaide Electric, we consider the terminal plug to be a component of the cable. Increasing the conductivity of the cable itself is essential, but the plug contacts also need to provide high conductivity. By adopting the pure silver contact connector SLSC, we achieve flawless pure silver transmission.

■ Uses ""SS-47"" solder, specifically designed for audio equipment. The plug and cable are soldered together using ""SS-47,"" a lead-free silver solder specifically designed for audio equipment. Due to cost considerations, standard solder uses tin with a purity of approximately 99.9% (3N). ""SS-47"" further enhances purity by minimizing impurities, employing high-purity tin of over 99.993% (4N). It also incorporates silver and copper to improve conductivity and prevent solder erosion.

- While standard alloy solders typically contain 3-3.5% silver, ""SS-47"" generously incorporates a whopping 4.7%. Furthermore, it incorporates 1.7% copper, the metal with the second highest conductivity after silver. This combination dramatically improves conductivity and successfully achieves a eutectic point of 217°C. Of course, these combinations were not determined solely on numerical data and workability.

- We believe that sound quality should be the top priority when labeling a solder for audio applications. ""SS-47"" was developed through repeated listening tests of prototype models with various combinations.
