The TASCAM MD-CD1BMKIII professional CD player/MD recorder is the successor to the MD-CD1BMKII, a standard professional MD/CD combination device that offers a space-saving 2U footprint while also being equipped with a variety of on-site functions. The CD player and MD recorder can be operated independently or simultaneously, and a wide range of applications are possible, including continuous playback and dubbing from CD to MD at up to 4x speed.

The CD player and MD recorder can be operated independently and simultaneously, and features include continuous playback and up to 4x speed dubbing from CD to MD, making the most of the combo unit's benefits. The CD player can play not only audio CDs, but also WAV and MP3 files. It also supports CD-R/CD-RW discs. Pitch control from -50% to +16% can be adjusted using a dedicated knob on the front panel, ensuring intuitive and reliable operation. The MD recorder supports LP2 and LP4 long play modes. Both the CD player and MD recorder are equipped with comprehensive playback functions such as auto cue and auto ready.

The unit offers unbalanced and balanced analog inputs and outputs, and coaxial and optical digital inputs and outputs. Ideal for a variety of locations, including concert halls, stores, broadcasting stations, theme parks, museums, and event venues, the unit also supports RS-232C serial control, making it suitable for installation in locations requiring remote control.
