The P-1800AR supplies a stable 120V (±2.5V) to connected devices.
Unstable power voltage can cause noise and other issues, degrading sound quality and leading to equipment malfunctions and failures. The P-1800AR provides a stable 120V (±2.5V) when the input voltage is within the 97-137VAC 60Hz range. Additionally, it features Furman's latest power conditioning features, including SMP, which protects equipment from lightning surges, LiFT, which eliminates power line noise, and EVS, which protects equipment from abnormal voltages. It also comes equipped with a variety of other features, including a voltage/current meter, USB charger, and a BNC connector for a gooseneck light.
True RMS Voltage Control Technology: Stabilizes unstable voltage and provides a constant 120V power supply. The P-1800 AR features an ultra-low-noise 8-tap toroidal transformer that periodically monitors the input voltage and phase. When correcting voltage, the taps are switched at the waveform boundary (zero crossing), leaving the voltage waveform unchanged. This ensures noise-free and fast voltage correction.
Protects Equipment from Lightning Surge: SMP: SMP (Series Multi-Stage Protection) is Furman's proprietary, high-performance surge filter.
When lightning strikes, sudden high voltages (lightning surges) can enter equipment through power lines, causing damage.
SMP safely absorbs even sudden high voltages by attenuating them. This provides protection from high voltage, allowing you to use your valuable equipment with peace of mind.
[Removes power supply noise: LiFT]
LiFT (Linear Filtering Technology) is Furman's proprietary, high-performance noise filter.
In real-world environments, power lines can contain noise exceeding 10dB of conventional filter characteristics. Equipment can also be damaged by improper equipment grounding or surge noise.
LiFT removes noise occurring in frequency bands important to audio.
[Protecting equipment from abnormal voltages: EVS]
EVS (Extreme Voltage Shutdown) is Furman's proprietary, high-performance voltage protection function.
If excessively high or low voltage occurs due to incorrect connections or other malfunctions, EVS automatically shuts down the unit, protecting your equipment from abnormal voltages.
[Status LED]
The status LED warns you of problems with the protection circuit or if the voltage is outside the operating range.
[Isolated Banks]
The rear outlets are divided into two banks to prevent internal interference and noise. Bank A has three outlets, and Bank B has five. Banks A and B allow you to connect analog and digital devices separately, minimizing interference between them.
[Voltage/Current Meter]
Equipped with a digital meter that displays voltage or current draw (RMS). The brightness can also be adjusted.
[Widely Spaced Outlets]
Widely spaced outlets allow for compatibility with large AC adapters.
