Digital signal processing has become the norm in modern audio production. However, it is still difficult to say that digital systems have caught up with the sound quality and characteristics of high-end analog equipment. In particular, the head amplifier, which is the input source of the sound, has a major impact on the success of the recording. That's why SPL developed GainStation to enable input with the highest analog quality.

■●The head amplifier section uses both tube and op-amp circuits, allowing for flexible adjustment of sound quality.
●An impedance select switch is included for optimal microphone matching.
●A custom-designed Class A op-amp is used.
●A high slew rate of 200V/µs maximizes high-frequency reproduction and has fast transient characteristics, eliminating the need for DC coupling capacitors in the audio path.
●The component layout was carefully designed to minimize signal routing in the audio path and provide strict shielding around the GND.
●Gold-plate contact relays are used for all switching functions.
●All ​​resistors are carefully selected with a tolerance of 0.1% or less.
●The power supply circuit is also uncompromising, with thorough shielding and ample power supply capacity.
●The tube stage uses MKP foil capacitors and carefully selected 12AX7 tubes for clear, dynamic sound quality.
