This is a kit that adds a PCM sound source to WALDORF's virtual analog synthesizer, Blofeld Desktop.

■ Upgrade Kit

- This kit adds a PCM sound source similar to the BLOFELD KEYBOARD to the BLOFELD (desktop type). It adds oscillator types (shapes), allowing you to use PCM waveforms such as piano and organ. Furthermore, using the dedicated application software ""SPECTRE,"" you can import user-sampled audio files (WAV) within a 60MB memory area.
(Note: Spectre does not allow editing or sampling of audio waveforms.)

- This is a software upgrade, allowing users to perform the process themselves. The upgrade is performed via MIDI (SysEx) data, so it can be performed with a standalone sequencer and does not necessarily require a computer. However, an internet connection is required for authorization.

パッケージに入れられた、シリアルナンバー（coupon code）が書かれた紙が送られて来るのだけど、メーカーサイトでそれを入力しても、無効（invalid）の表示が出る。パッケージに福産起業の連絡先が書いてあったので、メールで問い合わせた結果、「無効になっていた」とのことで、代替のコードが送られて来た。「PCM音源を追加するキットです」、「さらに、（中略）60MBの領域内でユーザーがサンプリングしたオーディオファイル（WAV）のインポートも可能となります」とあるけど、PCM音源を追加した後、任意のWAVファイルをインポートすると、SampleSetを上書きすることになるから、PCM音源を使いたい場合、また本体にインポートしないといけないことになる様子。
