- Blueberry is designed primarily to deliver the commanding, intimate presence of the finest and most expensive vintage vocal microphones. With shimmering, detailed highs, smooth mids, and minimal proximity effect (the low-frequency boost that's inevitable with non-directional microphones), Blueberry places vocals at the front of the mix, where they belong. Even when subjected to limiting and compression, a standard technique for pop vocals, tracks recorded with Blueberry don't suffer from pumping or low-frequency issues. Blueberry also adds a special presence to acoustic guitars, hand percussion, drums, and other high-end sources, helping even the most delicate sounds at very low levels to emerge from the mix.
