This plug-in unit integrates a compressor, limiter, expander, gate, and sidechain EQ. Developed based on research into dynamics in professional settings, it features a volume pod design, recreating the convenient operation feel of an analog console.

■Plug-in

The Sonnox Oxford Dynamics plug-in is based on the highly flexible dynamics unit found in the Sony Oxford OXF-R3 professional console. Sonnox Oxford conducted extensive research into dynamics processing in professional environments and developed a unit that integrates a compressor, limiter, expander, gate, and sidechain EQ.

Each function can be controlled independently, from on/off to parameter adjustment. A separate bus compressor/limiter is also available for multi-format surround environments.

Additionally, a volume pod design has been adopted to recreate the feel of an analog console, and while it provides a sense of unity with physical controllers, it may not necessarily be easy to operate with a mouse. In terms of sound quality, there is little change even at deep compression levels, providing a clean effect that is impossible to achieve with analog. At the same time, it is also an appealing effect with a warmth. ]
