The gorgeous and wonderful vintage sound of EMI/Abbey Road Studio has returned to the world of modern recording!

The EMI TG12345 Curve Bender has been reissued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Abbey Road Studios. Wade Gauk, designer at CHANDLER LIMITED, and Peter Cobbin of Abbey Road Studios have developed the ultimate analog EQ, adding new performance features to the TG12345 console used to record the historic albums of The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

EMI's analog EQ development began with the RS57 in 1954, evolving into the TG12345 in 1969 and the TG12412 in 1974, affectionately named the Curve Bender by EMI's designers. This latest version retains the supremely organic sound of that era while adding the performance and features necessary for modern recording environments.

Peter Cobbin of Abbey Road Studios used the original TG console's EQ for mixing The Beatles' Anthology and Yellow Submarine (Remix). For many years, he had been thinking about how to add more flexibility to the original TG console's superb analog sound. This project began after Wade Gauke and Abbey Road officially partnered.

The slope, position, and tone quality of the original TG console's EQ have been perfectly reproduced, and the EQ points have been significantly expanded from the original's 2-band/9-position to 51 EQ points (4-band EQ + filter), along with boost/cut range and Q-shape switching.
