An upgraded reissue of the vintage NEVE 33609 compressor/limiter!

The original vintage Neve 33609 succeeded the 2254 and is a staple compressor for recording and broadcasting stations. It possesses a unique sound that only the NEVE 33609 can produce, enhancing the brilliance of music.

The VINTECH-AUDIO 609CA updates the NEVE 33609's Class A/B circuit to a Class A circuit. It features a luxurious array of 3 custom transformers (iron core) per channel x 2 channels. The result is a richer, more impactful sound than the original. The majestic stability of the mid-low frequencies and the top end that is never harsh (yet possesses vivid and delicate expressiveness) are truly the essence of traditional British sound. The beautiful analog sound, capturing every nuance of the reverberation until it fades away, possesses a quality that modern equipment and plugins simply cannot match.

The 609CA can be used in stereo link or dual mono configurations. The limiter and compressor sections are completely independent. The compression curve, compared to the original Neve 33609, is a perfect match.
