Whimsical Raps / Atrium

Atrium is a 5-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer that combines fingertip gestures with a sound system that changes organically in response to the performance.

Building on the modular synth concepts Whimsical Raps has explored over the past decade through its Mannequins Eurorack series, this unit expands the possibilities of polyphony from a new perspective.

Each of the five analog voices can be assigned a distinct tone and movement. In addition to three types of timber modes and a low-pass gate, the Spectre section—which combines an analog filter, BBD delay, and feedback—allows you to create complex and creative sounds.

Modulation can be freely combined, and real-time operations can be recorded as gestures. Actions such as touching, sliding, and pressing directly influence the sound, allowing you to play by repeating these movements or modifying them further.

It features an intuitive, tactile interface consisting of faders, knobs, mechanical keys, and a multi-touch plate. You can engage with the sound directly—feeling the instrument’s response to your hand movements—without relying on a screen.

Atrium is an instrument that offers deep exploration, yet allows you to produce sound and begin playing from the very first moment you touch it.

Composing.
Expressing.
Performing.

Atrium opens up new possibilities for all of these.
