VISCOUNT / Synth-8 Module

A sound module that adds synthesizer sounds to the VISCOUNT Legend series of stage pianos. It faithfully reproduces a classic American multi-mode analog filter.

The Synth-8 module is a full-fledged polyphonic synthesizer with a distinctive character.
Its 2-oscillator, 8-voice configuration delivers a thick, powerful analog sound. It faithfully reproduces a classic American multi-mode filter featuring saturation, 12dB/24dB roll-off, and aggressive resonance.
Despite its intuitive and user-friendly design, it offers an incredibly wide range of sound-shaping capabilities, including wave-shaping, detuning and doubling via “Fat” mode, a ring modulator, and hard sync, enabling professional-level sound design. It also supports velocity-controlled filter and envelope parameters, ensuring expressive performance.
In Unison mode, you can layer up to 8 voices, and when using the “Fat” oscillator, you can generate a rich sound with up to 32 oscillators. Four assignable knobs allow for smooth real-time sound design.
Furthermore, using the dedicated “Legend ’70s Editor” enables detailed editing via full-screen operation that feels just like the actual hardware panel. Based on a large number of presets, you can freely design your own sounds.
Furthermore, it features an arpeggiator and a 4×16-step sequencer, making it ideal for creating phrases and live performances.
