With 26 in/28 out analog/digital inputs and outputs, it flexibly handles recording, routing, and mixing for any session. The abundant number of channels to meet the needs of artists and engineers is one of its greatest strengths.


Tradition and Innovation. Equipped with two remote-controlled ISA preamps

Utilizing Lundahl's LL1538 transformers, which have walked alongside Focusrite's legacy, it adds natural warmth and depth to the input signal. With a maximum gain of 79dB, it can handle low-sensitivity microphones. Furthermore, it includes features that enable flexible sound shaping, such as balanced insert, step/fine gain adjustment, impedance switching, and a high-pass filter.

Two modes that can be added with a single button add realistic analog tone

The two ISA preamps feature relay circuits, allowing you to freely add saturation to create a thick, presence-like sound reminiscent of an analog console in 'Console Mode,' and to smoothly boost the high frequencies for a transparent and three-dimensional sound in '430 Air Mode.' Even in a bedroom studio, it provides a high-end production experience as if you were standing in front of a top-tier recording console.

In addition to the two ISA preamps, it features six ultra-low-noise Focusrite microphone preamps with remote control support. With a maximum gain of 69dB, clear and high resolution, an analog circuit-based Air Mode, and a Drive function that allows for stepwise adjustment of texture, it faithfully captures every nuance of your performance.


Legendary console sound for instruments

Lundahl transformers reproduce the sound of a Focusrite console. Equipped with impedance switching functionality, it brings out the full potential of the original sound of instruments such as guitars, basses, and synthesizers. The 'Console Mode' and '430 Air Mode,' which allow you to freely add analog tones, are of course also available for instrument inputs.

Eight dedicated line inputs (fixed gain/balance) for flexible routing of outboard gear

Equipped with dedicated line inputs convenient for use with patch bays or permanent installation. You can operate it while outboard equipment is connected, eliminating the hassle of re-patching on the interface side.

Automatic input level adjustment with auto-gain for fast recording

With the reliable 'auto-gain function' for recording, the C8X instantly and automatically adjusts the input gain of the eight preamps. No complicated settings are required; it can be executed with a single button on the front panel, or controlled from the desktop or mobile version of ""Focusrite Control 2.""

Equipped with flagship AD/DA converters
Equipped with 24-bit/192 kHz AD/DA converters equivalent to those found in Focusrite's top-of-the-line RedNet series audio interfaces, achieving a dynamic range of 125dB and THD of 0.00022%. Delivering the highest quality sound from recording to mixing.

Comprehensive 12-channel balanced outputs
Supports channel formats from mono and stereo to immersive formats (up to 7.1.4 channels). Furthermore, three monitor groups can be switched via the front panel or software switch. Supports professional-grade maximum output levels of +24dBu and a 125dB dynamic range (A-weighted) for appropriate level settings to match the input signal. Outputs 1 and 2 support both XLR and TRS plugs.

Two independent Class AB headphone outputs

Independent level control, ample headroom, and optimized impedance deliver powerful and high-resolution playback.

Supports ADAT, S/PDIF, MIDI, and Word Clock

Expandable up to 16 channels via ADAT and 2 channels via S/PDIF, enabling simultaneous recording of up to 26 channels. Supports MIDI and word clock connections, providing ample input/output and routing capabilities to function as the core of your studio.


Focusrite Control 2 Software and Mobile App Support Seamless Recording

Using the official ""Focusrite Control 2"" software, you can easily manage, save, and recall mixes and routing without operating the front panel. Centralized management of multiple interfaces and low-latency monitoring of input signals are also possible.
