SP2016 Reverb is a reverb plugin that faithfully emulates the ""SP2016,"" the world's first programmable effect unit released in 1982, which introduced the concept of ""plugins"" to the professional audio world. It allows you to use that rich sound, beloved by top engineers and heard on countless hit records, within your DAW.

It features three distinctive reverb algorithms: Room, Stereo Room, and Hi-Density Plate, each offering two modes: ""Vintage,"" which recreates the low bit depth of the time, and ""Modern,"" which is brighter and higher resolution.

Its most distinctive feature is the ""Position Control,"" which allows you to intuitively adjust the sense of sound distance, from the back of the room to the front row of the stage, with just one slider movement. Without being troubled by complex settings, you can perfectly blend vocals, drums, guitars, and other tracks into your mix.

The SP2016 was the first programmable effects box available on the market. In 1982, it introduced the concept of ""plug-ins"" to the world of professional audio, employing a system where an actual hardware chip was inserted internally.
