'SDX - Drumopolis' is an expansion sound library for Superior Drummer 3 containing eight kits recorded by legendary producer Tony Visconti.

Few producers in music history have resonated as strongly as Tony Visconti. He not only pushed the boundaries of sound and redefined the rock soundscape, but throughout his nearly 60-year career, he has created numerous musical masterpieces that broke down conventions. His influence is undeniable, from producing albums with iconic artists such as David Bowie, T. Rex, and Thin Lizzy, to winning multiple Grammy Awards and the Music Producers Guild Award for ""Outstanding Contribution.""

This release was recorded in two environments at Studio A: the spacious ""main room"" and the dead, isolated ""booth."" The ""main room"" features edgy kits that are characteristic of Tony Visconti's David Bowie period. Meanwhile, in the ""Booth"" room, we pursued a more raw sound reminiscent of Thin Lizzy and T. Rex.

Both rooms feature diverse ambiences and additional microphones, allowing for a wide range of tonal variations during mixing. Furthermore, reverb from the adjacent stone-walled room was recorded with a stereo ribbon microphone, adding spatial layers to all kits.

These kits cover eight different facets of rock, ranging from open and expansive to raw and aggressive sounds. They cater to all styles, including glam rock, classic rock, alternative, art rock, and progressive.

In addition, presets created by Tony Visconti himself, and a MIDI library of grooves and fills by Stephen Gilchrist, are included, all inspired by his legendary career.
