It achieves tremendous gain reduction while maintaining signal integrity and minimizing distortion and unwanted artifacts. If you're looking for an aggressive drum compressor, look no further. This groundbreaking circuit has been faithfully reproduced in digital form.

VP Drum-all-nite is the ultimate parallel compression tool for shaping drum envelopes. Its ability to inject pure energy into percussive waveforms is unparalleled.

To accentuate the body and spaciousness of your drums, connect VP Drum-all-nite in a parallel chain. Setting the Limiter to ""Peak"" (6 microsecond attack) mode will remove all sharp transients, allowing you to experience the pure distortion and energy injected into the decay.

For the opposite effect, keep VP Drum-all-nite connected in parallel and set the Limiter to ""Avg."" (10 millisecond attack) mode. Then, the drums explode from the speakers, their punch and spit powerful enough to easily drown out even the loudest guitars. You can hear the drum's snapping sound layered on top of the energy. What you actually hear is the compressed, musical decay of the drums.

If you want to clean up and shorten the decay while maintaining the punch, set VP Drum-all-nite to ""Gate"" and ""Expander"" modes simultaneously. This tightens the drum sound, reduces the pumping, and retains the characteristic punch and spit.
