The legendary VEQ-432C is considered the absolute standard for mastering equalizers, and is something that everyone in the industry should follow. The inventor of the parametric equalizer himself was involved as a co-developer, creating a design that, while undergoing numerous revisions, will likely live on forever.

Since its release in the late 1960s, and through improvements in the early 1970s, the 432 has reigned as a reliable mastering equalizer for old-school professionals. Even more so if you're lucky enough to own one. My initial impression was that the EQ was subtle, lacking a clear drive or power. However, as I delved deeper into the controls and used it more extensively, I noticed a very unique and pleasing character being added to the audio. Even when the equalization choices seemed poor at first glance, everything started to sound fantastic.

This isn't magic. This is where the true value of a top-of-the-line mastering EQ shines through. It's about adding just a touch of sweetness to an already great-sounding mix without needing further polish. That said, the 432 is equally effective on the mix bus, as well as on individual tracks where frequency boosting or cutting is needed. You don't need to worry about latency or CPU usage, even when using as many instances as you need. The Synergy Core interface handles all the processing, allowing you to dedicate your computer's power to your favorite instruments and effects.
