ステレオオペレーションの利便性を高める機能

1178は一般には1176のステレオバージョンですが、ng78はそれだけにとどまらず、ステレオオペレーションでの有用性を高める機能が追加されています。

通常は最大800us程度のアタックタイムは、ng78では20msまで拡張。シャープでアグレッシブなコンプレッションだけでなく、よりナチュラルでスムースなコンプレッションも可能です。加えてRATIOには新たに2:1の設定も追加。サチュレーション量を調整できるTHDコントロールも備え、グルー効果を狙うようなオペレーションでもその価値を発揮することができます。

更にはサイドチェイン・ハイパス/ハイシェルフ・フィルターを備える他、LRそれぞれの入出力、及びゲインリダクションのメーターも完備。あらゆるケースでストレスなく、理想的にオペレーションを行うことができます。

プラグインコントロール＆デジタルリコール

WesAudio ngシリーズ最大の特徴である、アナログ回路のデジタルコントロールはng78でも健在。

プラグインからのフルコントロールが可能で、プリセットを無制限に保存/リコールすることができます。オートメーションにも対応しており、本体のロータリーエンコーダーを操作してオートメーションを書くことも可能。

またプラグインではゲインリダクションをグラフ形式でも表示するなど、PC上であるからこそ実現できる直感的で邪魔にならないUIを採用しています。

The ng78 is a truly ideal 1178-type stereo FET compressor created by WesAudio. While retaining the supreme analog sound that has earned acclaim from the Beta76 and ng76, it adds the functions required for stereo operation. It can handle any situation.

Like other ng series products, the ng78's audio signal path is entirely analog. Through meticulous design and no compromises at any point in the circuitry, it achieves exceptional analog sound with the highest stability and sound quality.

Furthermore, thanks to WesAudio's outstanding technology and sensibility, the ng78 achieves stereo functionality and sound that surpasses the original. The ng78 features a range of functions that enable more flexible operation, starting with a transformer-balanced output using Carnhill transformers, an extended attack time of up to 20ms, a newly added 2:1 ratio setting, and THD for manipulating sound character. It covers not only the punchy sound of the original but also the natural, clear sound required for stereo compression.

And of course, it also offers the preset recall, plug-in control, and automation features that are standard in the ng series. The ng78 is the ideal ""1178,"" seamlessly blending the brilliance of a classic FET compressor with the convenience and versatility required in modern times.
