-This key has a collar on the base plate of the key that surrounds the string post. -While other open gear keys require drilling two holes (a small hole for the post and a large hole for the bushing), the True-Tune open gear key only requires drilling one size (8.5 mm) hole in the headstock for both the post collar and bushing.
