The SPL/DeEsser Mk2 (Model 2230) is an auto-dynamic de-esser that reduces sibilance in mixes and vocal tracks without compromising the natural character of the tone or voice.

The SPL DeEsser Mk2 is a device that reduces sibilance in mixes and vocal tracks without compromising the natural character of the timbre or voice.

The DeEsser automatically detects the frequency of sibilance and creates a sound specifically for that frequency without affecting adjacent frequencies. This S-Sound is phase-inverted and mixed into the main signal to cancel out the sibilance. Even with high S-Reduction settings, the processing is so natural that the impact on vocal characteristics and timbre is negligible.
