Welcome to the "Garden of Tone"

It was about 45 years ago. It was the late 1960s and the cutting-edge London music scene. There was a young Cliff Cooper who was seriously thinking about creating a new amp that would not only sound good but also punch through. At the time, musical instrument amps were, to put it mildly, pretty boring. All the amps were the same color... black. Cliff saw an opportunity there. Enough of boring amps. And so the Orange amp was born.

And now, in 2013, AmpliTube Orange, a new collection added to IK Multimedia's AmpliTube Custom Shop, a leader in amp and effect modeling software development, delivers the ultimate collection of Orange amps and cabinets for Mac/Win.

For over 45 years, Orange amps have been providing the music industry with authentic rock and roll tones. Their look has always been in a class of its own, making them the visual stage amp of choice for musicians around the world. With AmpliTube Orange, you can enjoy the famous Orange look whenever you want, right on your DAW or computer.

AmpliTube Orange runs inside AmpliTube, so the signal path is perfect. AmpliTube faithfully reproduces the signal chain of a live or studio performance, including Tuner > Pedal Effects Board > Amp Head/Preamp > Effects Loop > Power Amp > > speaker cabinet ?> microphone (and room acoustics) ?> rack effects. In addition, you can freely combine two sets of equipment (two signal chains) to create complex routing.

AmpliTube allows you to create a total sound that can be used in any situation, such as mixing two amp/effect sounds or performing stereo audio processing, by providing eight different series/parallel routing settings based on two signal chains. You can even set up complex routing scenarios, such as routing through two pedalboards into one amp head, splitting the output into two cabinets, each with different microphone and room settings, and processing with a compressor and graphic EQ in a single rack effect. It's up to you how you use these eight routing options. The possibilities are endless.


MIDI Control Support
AmpliTube supports MIDI control. You can use an external MIDI foot controller connected to iRig MIDI 2, iRig Pro, or iRig Pro Duo, or iRig BlueBoard to remotely control AmpliTube effect parameters, bypass effects, or switch presets. You can control wah, volume, delay time, and more, all without touching the screen of your iOS device.
