A faithful recreation of the legendary 2A opto-compressor. The top-of-the-line Black Lion T4BLA opto-element delivers smooth gain reduction and transparent sound. This is the Toneflake Custom version, offering operation closer to the original.

The LIN2A was meticulously designed to faithfully reproduce the sound quality and ease of use of the best opto-dynamics processors in recording history over the past 60 years.

The LIN2A's simple control scheme successfully defies the compressor's versatility in a positive way. With the top-of-the-line Black Lion T4BLA opto-element, you can easily smooth vocals to a silky, smooth tone, or add bite and weight to bass and kick drums.

By deliberately omitting the ratio, attack, and release controls found in typical compressors, the 2A-style compressor simply controls pre-programmed optimal settings with a two-knob interface. In other words, you don't have to worry about it sounding bad no matter how you use it.

Toneflake Custom

This product is a Toneflake Custom model that achieves operation, release timing, and rich mid-low frequencies closer to the original.

-Customization Details

・The top audio signal input vacuum tube has been replaced with a vintage US-made tube.

・Signal line coupling parts have been replaced with selected parts.

・The low-frequency compensation circuit has been adjusted.

・The plate power supply control resistor for vacuum tube operation has been replaced with a vintage AB Company resistor, the same as the original LA2A.

* Output signal line resistors replaced with AB brand resistors.

* Output coupling capacitors changed to the same type as the original.

* T4B drive vacuum tubes replaced with American-made vintage tubes.

* T4B drive signal circuit upgraded; vacuum tube operation plate power control resistors replaced with AB brand resistors.

* Equipped with XLR connectors (normal is TRS only).
