The xfilter is a stereo EQ that inherits the heart and soul of elysia's flagship EQ, the museq. It delivers a Class A circuit EQ sound at an attractive price. Accurate stereo imaging is maintained through the use of computer-selected step potentiometers and low-tolerance film capacitors.

This EQ makes absolutely no compromises in terms of flexibility. The xfilter features switchable high/low shelving bands with resonance-enabled high/low cut filters, two mid-peak filters with two Q widths (wide and narrow), and a passive LC circuit (using shielded coils) that produces glossy high frequencies.

With its exceptionally open sound, natural transient characteristics, and solid punch, the xfilter is not only the perfect partner for the xpressor, but also an ideal partner for a variety of other attractive outboard gear!

■Main Features

・100% Discrete Analog

With its discrete input, output, and mix stages, and audio circuitry that always operates in Class A, the xfilter is an EQ with an extremely transparent, wide, and open sound.

・True Stereo Link EQ

The xfilter processes signals for two channels with a single set of controls. This makes it a truly stereo link EQ, which is extremely rare on the market.

* **Resonant High/Low Cut Filter**

The shelving filter can be switched to a high/low cut filter with controllable resonance peak. This is an unusual but extremely useful feature.

* **Selectable Q Width**

The peak filter's Q width can be selected from two options: wide and narrow. The Q width is independent of the gain knob setting.

* **Passive LC Circuit High-Frequency EQ**

While passive filters can only achieve a beautiful high-frequency sheen, the xfilter possesses that sheen! The LC filter, employing shielded coils, applies a final ""Passive Massage"" to the sound source.

* **Stepped Knobs**

All knobs on the xfilter are 41-step potentiometers, allowing for quick and accurate recall of previous session settings.

All 2-gang and 4-gang potentiometers sourced by elysia undergo a computer-based selection process, ensuring that only high-quality components meeting the standards proceed to manufacturing.

? Special Low-Tolerance Capacitors

All special film capacitors used in xfilter boast component tolerances more than twice as good as those used in the industry standard.

? Ground Layer Shielding

Each of the four-layer PCBs utilizes a full copper foil substrate, helping to prevent interference from electric fields.
