IGS Audio / S-Type 500 VU

A 500 series format stereo compressor module modeled after the renowned bus compressor.

The S-Type 500 is a compressor inspired by the legendary British large console bus compressor, and its best-known features have been brushed up under the design philosophy of IGS Audio.

The heart of the compressor is not the currently unavailable DBX type circuit, but a unique circuit, which achieves the rich and dense sound unique to IGS Audio. The analog path is balanced with ultra-fast op amps, which is the source of the perfect transparent sound.

The realization of a minimal level of noise allows the device to be used in any musical environment, and it is additionally equipped with a sidechain HPF. This allows the user to select low-frequency ranges and pass any band uncompressed, with the added benefit of easily avoiding pumping.
