IGS Audio / S-Type 500 VU

A stereo compressor module in the 500 series format, following the design of renowned bus compressors.

The S-Type 500 is a compressor inspired by the legendary bass compressors of large British consoles, refined and manufactured under IGS Audio's design philosophy, incorporating the most well-known features.

The compressor's heart utilizes a proprietary circuit rather than the now-unused DBX-type circuit, resulting in the rich and dense sound characteristic of IGS Audio. The analog path is balanced with ultra-fast operational amplifiers, which is the source of its remarkably transparent sound.

With minimal noise levels, the device can be used in any musical environment, and it features an additional side-chain HPF. This allows users to select low frequencies and pass any desired band uncompressed, easily avoiding pumping.
