API / SR24

The SR24 is a 2-channel/4-band equalizer. It features dedicated knobs and switches for each control function, allowing for continuously variable control of frequency and boost/cut. This enables precise equalization of audio material.

The SR24's circuit design is deeply rooted in API's history. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, an audio company called ""APSI"" manufactured consoles and equalizers. Their 562 module was a 4-band, fully parametric equalizer designed by APSI and sold through API. Over the past few decades, these EQ modules have been popular among many studio engineers, but they are becoming increasingly difficult to find. The SR24 is a faithful redesign of the original 562, offering a 2-channel classic analog EQ in a single rackmount unit.
