A compressor that perfectly recreates the aesthetics and sound of a vintage NEVE 2254.

■ Vintage-Style Compressor

The COMP-54 mk3 is a single-channel vintage-style compressor. The signal path uses only discrete components, just like vintage equipment. The input and output are transformer-balanced, and it features a luxurious Class A circuit design with a third interstage transformer.

Its greatest appeal lies in its timeless sound, which faithfully reproduces the smooth, sweet classic sound of the NEVE 2254, designed in 1969.

It's also possible to insert equalizer units such as the EQ-73 (sold separately), allowing you to create channels composed of Golden Age Project preamps, EQs, and compressors.

■ Differences between mk2 and mk3 versions

・The insert point for the GAP EQ unit (EQ-73) has been moved to just before the makeup gain. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio.
