As the first bass sound source to use physical modeling, MODO DRUM delivers the same incredibly realistic drum sounds as the award-winning MODO BASS. MODO DRUM allows you to control every element of your drum kit's sound, from the drum material and size to your playing style and room resonance.

MODO Unlike traditional sample-based drum sound sources, DRUM uses IK's proprietary modal synthesis-based sound generation technology, breathing new life into your drum tracks with an optimized sound engine.

The fundamental ""sound"" of a drum kit is determined by the physical components of each instrument. However, the final sound is determined not only by physical elements such as the size, material, and drumhead of the instrument, but also by playing style, the interaction between the drum head and body, the resonance between the instruments that make up the drum kit, and the room's resonance.

MODO DRUM recreates the complex interplay between playing style, drum kit, and room resonance in real time, just as a real drummer would play.

Creating your sound with MODO DRUM starts with selecting one of 10 drum kits. We offer models representing a variety of styles, genres, and eras, including Black Oyster, Extreme, Grungy, and Plexi.

Customize Your Drum Kit to Your liking
The CUSTOMIZE section allows you to add or remove instruments from your drum kit, as well as perform detailed edits such as changing the material of each instrument's parts.
You can customize the instruments in your drum kit, including their shells, heads, tuning, damping, diameter, and depth.
You can also adjust the tension of your snare drum. You can also adjust the degree to which your kick and snare resonate with nearby instruments.
You can adjust the pitch and damping of your cymbals.
You can save the entire set of drums as a kit, or save individual instrument settings as presets.
Use MODO DRUM's unlimited customization capabilities to build a drum kit with no compromises.

Your Personal Drummer
Your drum kit isn't the only thing you can customize! The PLAY STYLE section lets you control how your drummer plays.

By adjusting the location and accuracy of each strike, you can create a loose, flowing groove or precise playing style. You can also set the sticks held in each hand individually.

For the kick drum, you can choose between heel-up and heel-down playing styles. You can also choose the beater material from felt, plastic, or wood.

MODO DRUM also features a round robin function that generates natural variations when hitting the same note repeatedly, allowing you to play with slightly different nuances each time, just like a real drummer.
