The 1066DL is based on Neve's classic 1066, which has a similar mic preamp stage to the 1073, but features different EQ frequency selection and sound spread. The available frequencies of the 1066 are particularly well suited for guitar tone shaping due to its unique midrange. While the original 1066 had 10k shelving, this unit adds frequencies of 10kHz, 12kHz, 16kHz, 20kHz, and 24kHz.
