While the Quad Eight is well-known by name, its true essence is not widely understood. A-Designs has successfully revived this legendary machine, not only preserving its essence but also faithfully recreating its design for the modern era. For the development of the PACIFICA, we conducted thorough market research to understand what is currently demanded of such equipment. Of course, we carefully analyzed the modules of the original Quad Eight consoles: Ventura, Coronado, and Pacifica. After developing numerous prototypes and conducting extensive beta testing, the legendary machine was given new life as the 1U rackmount type PACIFICA. While we certainly pursued the original sound in the PACIFICA, we also made adjustments to optimize it for modern recording work, ensuring that its distinctive character was not lost.
