The Germ 500 MkII is a microphone preamp compatible with the API 500 series. The interaction between Gain and Feedback changes the gain and sound character, producing everything from clean sounds to the silky, majestic sounds typical of vintage equipment.

Since its release, Chandler Limited's masterpiece, the Germanium Pre Amp, has become a ""secret weapon"" for many engineers, as a head amp capable of delivering the ""finest vintage sound of the 2000s."" While germanium transistors were used in many great pieces of equipment from the past, including vintage Neve and Fairchain, only Wade Goeke of Chandler Limited has recently refined that beautiful, overflowing sound. He has achieved a level of versatility beyond imagination. The Germ 500 MkII recreates the outboard Germanium Pre Amp in the modular format of the API 500 series. This Germ 500 MkII microphone preamp (H.A.) can be combined with compressors and EQs from many of the top brands featured in the API 500 module.
