The YAMAHA REVSTER RS420 has a firm, solid sound with an emphasis on the midrange. By engaging the dry switch, you can naturally cut the low frequencies. It delivers a clean sound with excellent clarity while reducing noise. The thin neck and contoured back of the body make this model easy to play.

■YGD Pickups
Equipped with pickups specially developed to bring out the unique character and harmony of each model. Over 50 prototypes were created, and repeated trial and error was carried out to find the optimal sound for each model, including the type of coil wire, winding method, and magnet/bobbin combination. This resulted in the unique, unmistakable REVSTAR sound.

The RS420 is equipped with VH3 pickups. Featuring an Alnico V magnet and a German baseplate, they deliver a powerful, mid-range-emphasized, and resilient sound.

■Dry Switch
The REVSTAR features a unique dry switch, a passive filter circuit. While maintaining the traditional coil structure, the dry switch naturally cuts low frequencies. It's ideal for producing a clear, bright tone and delicate nuances while reducing noise and delivering powerful tone. Unlike cutting the low frequencies with an amplifier, it delivers a natural sound with clear separation of each individual note.

■Original Hardware
Inspired by the ""café racer"" motorcycle customization style that began in London in the 1960s, the REVSTAR's hardware also features parts that evoke the unique look and feel of motorcycles. From the unique pickups to the distinctive copper pickguard and aluminum tailpiece, the stylish design is enhanced.

■Body Finish for Comfortable Playability
The REVSTAR boasts a unique look and sound, but it also offers comfortable playability. The back contour is deeply carved to fit the body, and the elbow contour is carved with exquisite balance. (Featured on some models only) It fits snugly to the player's body, ensuring comfortable playability even during long live performances.

The neck features a newly developed set neck joint. This allows for a natural playing feel even when playing in high positions, combining natural and comfortable playability with high durability. The RS420 features a slim neck with medium frets for comfortable playability.
