The XY stereo microphone capsule "XYH-5" that comes standard with the "H5" has been released as an optional accessory. An XY stereo microphone equipped with a shock mount mechanism can now be used with the "H6"/"Q8".

The "XYH-5" is a full-scale XY stereo microphone with two matched unidirectional condenser microphones crossed at a 90o angle. In addition to accurate sound image localization on the left and right, it is possible to record a natural and stereoscopic stereo image that faithfully reproduces the sense of depth before and after. In addition, it is equipped with a newly developed shock mount mechanism that uses anti-vibration rubber. The floating structure prevents the microphone case from directly contacting the die-cast pedestal and prevents external physical vibrations from being transmitted directly to the microphone.
