It is possible to input and output video signals with image quality exceeding 1080i. 3G-SDI is compatible with both Level A and Level B, and can be connected to various 3G-SDI devices. Of course, you can automatically connect 1080i and SD signals.

The exterior plate is made of aluminum material with a thickness of 2 mm. The SDI and HDMI terminals are screwed to the case, and the audio terminals are fixed to the case with nuts to improve durability. Each terminal is equipped with an LED input/output indicator, allowing you to check the signal status at a glance. In addition, by designing with good heat dissipation efficiency, reliability is pursued considering long-term continuous use.

■A form that can be used both live and built into the editing system.
By using the recess of the exterior plate, it can be fixed to the stay of a tripod with belts. We realize comfortable handling at the time of live. In addition, by attaching it to a dedicated rack mount adapter (sold separately), it can be used for permanent operation by fixing it to a rack such as an editing room.

■ Compatible with workflows that combine sound and video.
Equipped with audio embedded function and audio de-embedded function (ch selectable). With audio embedded, you can input an audio signal and put it on the SDI or HDMI output. With audio de-embedding, it is possible to output only the audio of SDI and HDMI signals. In addition, since it supports digital (AES/EBU) input/output, it is possible to input/output digital audio from professional audio equipment and build a high-quality audio system without deterioration during signal transfer. Of course, it also supports analog input/output, so you can exchange audio with a wide variety of audio devices.

■ Simple with a DIP switch on site. In the editing room, connect with a PC for details.
By sliding the DIP switch on the side with a pin etc., you can easily set the conversion direction. It is also possible to connect the PC and VC-1 with a USB cable and make detailed settings by operating the PC. The setting software can be downloaded from the Roland website.
