■Commitment to image quality.
Faithfully converts the original image without altering color, brightness, or other aspects of the image. Supports super black and super white, accurately converting the video representation of the camera or source device.

■Equipped with a reclocker.
Equipped with a reclocker that compensates for attenuation when extending SDI signals over long distances. Even camera feeds can be received in high quality.

■Faithfully reproduces video characteristics.
Faithfully reproduces the video characteristics of the original video, eliminating conversion issues such as line misalignment and signal errors. Excellent jitter and return loss.

■Supports 1080p 3G-SDI.
Capable of inputting and outputting video signals with resolutions exceeding 1080i. Supports both 3G-SDI Level A and Level B, allowing connection to a wide variety of 3G-SDI devices. Of course, 1080i and SD signals are automatically supported simply by connecting them.

■Designed to withstand harsh field use. Robustness and heat dissipation are also ensured.
The heavy-duty design, including the use of 2mm-thick aluminum exterior plate, ensures robustness throughout. The SDI and HDMI terminals are secured to the main unit case with screws, and the audio terminals are secured to the main unit case with nuts for increased durability. LED input/output indicators on each terminal allow for at-a-glance confirmation of signal status. Furthermore, the efficient heat dissipation design ensures reliability for long-term continuous use.

■Designed for both live performance and integration into editing systems.
The recesses in the exterior plate allow for attachment to tripod stays and other devices with belts, ensuring comfortable handling during live performances. By attaching the VC-1 to a dedicated rack mount adapter (sold separately), it can be permanently installed in a rack in an editing room or other location.

■Supports workflows that combine audio and video.

Equipped with audio embedding and audio de-embedding functions (channel selectable). Audio embedding allows you to input audio signals and output them to SDI or HDMI outputs. Audio de-embedding allows you to output only the audio of SDI or HDMI signals. Digital (AES/EBU) input and output is also supported, allowing you to input and output digital audio from professional audio equipment, creating a high-quality audio system with no signal degradation during transfer. Of course, analog input and output is also supported, allowing you to transfer audio to and from a wide variety of audio devices.

■Simple on-site setup with DIP switches. Detailed setup with PC connection in the editing room.

Easily adjust settings such as conversion directionality by sliding the DIP switches on the side with a pin or other device. Detailed settings can also be made from a PC by connecting the VC-1 to a USB cable. The setup software can be downloaded from the Roland website.
