■Video/audio delay and frame synchronizer (FS).

For example, delays introduced by a video switcher can be matched by delaying the audio signal, enabling lip sync. This can correct display timing discrepancies when displaying on multiple TV monitors at events. When used in theater systems, it can also correct display discrepancies between the PA system and projector.

■ Commitment to image quality.

Faithfully converts the original image without altering color, brightness, or other aspects of the image. Supports super black and super white, faithfully reproducing the visual expression of the camera or source device.

■Equipped with a reclocker.
Equipped with a reclocker to compensate for attenuation when extending SDI signals over long distances. Even camera live feeds can be received with high image quality.

■Faithfully reproduces video characteristics.
The video characteristics of the original video are faithfully reproduced, eliminating conversion problems such as line misalignment and signal errors. Jitter and return loss are also excellent.

■Supports 1080p 3G-SDI.
Capable of inputting and outputting video signals with image quality exceeding 1080i. Supports both 3G-SDI Level A and Level B, allowing connection to a variety of 3G-SDI devices. Of course, 1080i and SD signals are also automatically supported by simply connecting them.

■Designed to withstand harsh on-site conditions. Robustness and heat dissipation are also ensured.
Heavy-duty design with robustness in every aspect, including the use of 2mm-thick aluminum exterior plates.

■Designed for both live use and integration into editing systems.
The recessed exterior plate allows for easy attachment to tripod stays and other equipment with a belt, ensuring comfortable handling during live performances. By attaching a dedicated rack mount adapter (sold separately), the unit can also be mounted in a rack in an editing room or other location for permanent installation.

■Supports workflows that combine audio and video.
Equipped with audio embedding and audio de-embedding functions (channel selectable). Audio embedding allows you to input audio signals and output them to SDI or HDMI outputs. Audio de-embedding allows you to output only the audio of SDI or HDMI signals. Digital (AES/EBU) input and output is also supported, allowing you to input and output digital audio from professional audio equipment, creating a high-quality audio system with no signal degradation during transfer. Of course, analog input and output is also supported, allowing audio to be transferred between a wide variety of audio devices.

■Simple on-site setup with DIP switches. Detailed setup in the editing room with PC connection.
Easily adjust settings such as conversion directionality by sliding the side DIP switches with a pin or other tool. You can also connect the VC-1 to a PC with a USB cable and perform detailed settings from there. The setup software can be downloaded from the Roland website.
