The OKM in-ear stereo microphone from Soundman, a German company, is a binaural microphone (※1) worn in your ear for 360° sound capture.
Since the microphone itself supports plug-in power, you can connect it directly to a portable MD or DAT player with the same functionality to easily record natural environmental sounds, lectures, live concerts, and more.
※1) Binaural recording is a recording method in which a microphone is attached to the ears of a dummy head. The sound recorded in this way is then played back through headphones, allowing the sound heard by the dummy head's ears to be directly transmitted to the listener's ears. In other words, the listener can experience the same sense of realism as if they were actually there.
