・The APX-T2 features Yamaha's proprietary pickup system, A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer). The contact pickup attached to the underside of the top near the bridge outputs not only the vibration of the strings but also the resonance of the entire body to the amplifier, resulting in a natural, rich acoustic guitar sound. The preamp's cutting-edge design allows it to run on AA batteries, which are easy to find while traveling, and it also features a convenient built-in chromatic tuner.

The body and headstock design inherits the flavor of Yamaha's signature APX series of electric acoustic guitars. While retaining the thin-bodied, cutaway body shape for optimal playability, this guitar has been made more compact, making it ideal as a secondary guitar for serious guitarists, or as a guitar for petite women and children.
