This compressor from elysia offers a wide range of creative sounds. It features two linkable channels, each equipped with the AutoFast function.

■ A Creative Compressor

elysia's mpressor is a new tool that enables creative dynamics processing. This creative compressor offers not only fundamental performance established through trial and error, but also punchy control, a colorful character, and various functions that produce thick, freaky sounds through extreme settings. Beyond normal tracking, its strengths lie in groovy compression effects and creative sound design.

The two channels are linkable. Each is equipped with an AutoFast function, enabling natural and fast compression free from distortion. Furthermore, the adoption of an anti-log circuit allows for the activation of intense compression effects such as pumping and breathing. In addition, the mpressor incorporates a true feed-forward design, allowing for negative ratio settings and achieving extreme over-compression. One of mpressor's features, the Niveau filter, allows for continuous frequency shifting, enabling a wide range of changes to the track's character, from subtle to dramatic. The gain reduction limiter is a new feature that allows you to limit the maximum gain reduction as needed. Furthermore, a sidechain external input provides even greater flexibility in compression operation.

mpressor's electronic circuitry is designed based on fully discrete analog technology. All signal processing is always performed in Class A mode by individual transistors, and discrete circuits are also used in the sidechain and power supply sections. Other high-quality technologies include oversized power transformers, small conductive plastic potentiometers, an internal temperature stabilizer, and a special current feedback amplifier. Combining all these elements, mpressor delivers the highest quality signal and provides a clean and powerful sound character even when using extreme compression effects.

■Key Features

100% Discrete Analog

Based on elysia's design philosophy, the mpressor's audio circuitry employs entirely Class A discrete circuitry, with no integrated circuits used.

・Auto Fast Function

A semi-automation function for attack/release characteristics that can be switched on. This convenient function responds only to fast signals based on user-defined values.

・Anti-log Release Characteristics

This new type of release characteristic creates a more easily discernible effect by drawing a numerical curve, unlike the usual linear release characteristics.

・Negative Ratio

The compression characteristic curve is bent and attenuated! This allows for the creation of various compression effects, such as powerful pumping or sounds that seem to be played in reverse.

・Niveau Filter

Like the alpha compressor, the mpressor features a Niveau Filter. The mpressor allows for even more powerful sound shaping for a more creative approach.


* External Sidechain Input

Want to control compression that responds to specific frequencies, or accentuates compression to match the groove? External sidechain input opens up endless possibilities!

* Gain Reduction Limiter

elysia's unique gain reduction limiter is not found in typical audio circuits and limits the compressor's control voltage (maximum gain reduction).

* Analog Dynamic LED Meter

In addition to increasing and decreasing the LED meter, the brightness of the LED changes according to the reduction amount, allowing for continuous and smooth monitoring of the compression operation.

* Transconductance Amplifier

elysia's custom-designed discrete gain reduction cell in the mpressor provides low noise and extremely fast time parameter settings, delivering a powerful and punchy sound.

* T12 Heater System

This system maintains a stable temperature for the delicate components of the discrete circuit, preventing unstable operation.
