This extensive library restores a wide range of nostalgic sounds heard from the 1950s to the 1980s, from the buzzing of tiny insects to massive explosions. From the ringing of an old-fashioned telephone, the stomping of a donkey walking through town, the sounds of a classic car, the whistle of a steam locomotive, the opening and closing of windows in an old apartment building, and the sound of typing on a typewriter... Rare sound sources recorded on analog tape recorders have been edited using cutting-edge technology to create crystal-clear sounds that retain the feel of the era. A total of 1,700 carefully selected, precious sounds that are difficult or impossible to record today are collected on 12 CDs, organized into categories such as home, nature, vehicles, industry, cities, leisure, and humans. Includes a Japanese index.
