Floor monitor expansion method

AUX SEND→floor monitor speaker

• Connect AUX SEND and floor monitor speakers .
  * As the signal from AUX SEND is at the level before amplification, passive speakers can not be connected directly. It becomes "power amplifier+speaker" or "powered speaker".
• Raise the AUX knob on the channel you want to monitor.
• Raise the MON fader to adjust the overall monitor volume.

MON SEND 1 (or 2) →floor monitor speaker

• * The signal from MON SEND is at the level before amplification, so passive speakers can not be connected directly. It becomes "power amplifier + passive speaker" or "powered speaker".
• Raise the MON knob of the channel you want to monitor.
• Raise the MON fader to adjust the overall monitor volume.

Set AMP mode to “MON1 / MONO”, OUTPUT A (MON1) → floor monitor

• Connect a floor monitor (passive speaker) to OUTPUT A (MON1)
• Raise the MON knob of the channel you want to monitor.
• Raise the MON fader to adjust the overall monitor volume.

The connection method from the mixer is the same.

Mixer MON1 or AUX SEND → powered speaker LINE INPUT

Merits

• Since the amplifier is built in, less equipment is needed.
• You can adjust the volume on the speaker side.
• Multiple connections can be made using through - out.

Demerits

• Each speaker needs a power supply.
• Because the speakers incorporate the amplifier, they may be heavier than non-powered.
