There are two major types of controllers: "Dimming" and "Effects", and "Hardware" and "Software" operated by PC. Here are some basic choices for choosing a DMX controller.
Simple lighting, real-time control, as many faders as the number of channels, buttons are easy to operate and use. There are not many channels that can be handled.
It is more difficult to control multiple channels with fewer faders for lighting equipment that use multiple channels such as moving heads, scanners, etc., and for light control. Use a program in advance. Not suitable for control in real time.
Connect and use a PC with interface and software installed. It is suitable for applications that use multiple channels as well as effects. You can check the status of each channel, and program settings on the PC screen.
