How to choose DMX controller-Lighting effects

The number of DMX channels and the number of faders (sliding up and down) for each device are points! It is important how to assign lighting equipment to DMX channels for control.

Example) When there are multiple units of the same lighting equipment using 3 DMX channels

If you want to control each light individually:
Set the address to channel 1 for the first unit and channel 4 for the second unit.
When you want to control multiple units with the same operation:
Set the address for all lighting devices on the same channel.

When controlling lighting effects

There are many effects lighting devices that use 2 to 16 DMX channels, and it is necessary to confirm the number of DMX channels required for each lighting device. When using multiple effects lighting equipment, add the required number of DMX channels of each piece of lighting equipment, and select a controller that can output more DMX signals than the total.

Connection example

[1] Light control direction

Mirror ball effect（3ch）＋moon flower effect（4ch）＋laser（6ch）
= controller of 13ch or more in total

[2] Effect direction

LED Washer (Bar Type) （7ch）＋Moonflower Effect（16ch）＋Beam Effect（12ch）
= Controller with a total of 35ch or more

If there are 24ch or less, the light control direction controller is easy to control, and if you want to control more channels, select the effect direction controller.

Dimming direction controller

This controller is equipped with the same number of faders as the number of possible DMX signals, and is suitable for intuitive, real-time control that is easy to judge visually.

Effects direction controller

8It is a controller that uses about 8 faders by page switching with buttons etc., and supports multi-channel systems.
