External sound source connection method

Introducing how to connect with a standard cassette deck such as the TASCAM / 202MKV. In addition, sound source can be connected with other decks, PCs, TVs, etc.

First of all, focus on the output terminals of the sound source. The 202MKV has ANALOG OUT / L ・ R output terminals, so connect it to the karaoke amplifier from here.

There are three KOK1000 input terminals (BGM / AUX1 / AUX2), but it does not matter which terminal you connect to.

The cable connecting the deck and the amplifier is an RCA pin cable, and you’ll need one for left channel & one for right channel.

☆ Point

  • The output terminal of the sound source differs depending on the equipment.
  • Cassette decks, CD decks, DVD players mainly use RCA pin output.
  • Music players such as personal computers, iPods and smartphones mainly output mini stereo plug.

Microphone connection method

We will introduce the connection method using a CLASSIC PRO / CM5S (microphone) and MIP 050 (microphone cable).

One of the connectors of the MIP 050 is an XLR female, and one is a cable of the phone terminal.

Connect the XLR female connector to the microphone and the phone connector to the karaoke amplifier.

Adjust volume

The KOK1000 is equipped with multiple knobs that change the volume and sound quality of the microphone.

First, raise the MIC main volume knob of the karaoke amplifier to some extent, and then, adjust the balance with the volume adjustment knob of each microphone equipped on the lower left of the KOK1000.

-Echo, delay adjustment-

The KOK1000 is equipped with a reverb (echo) and a delay (* 1).
By mixing these two effects, you can create the best sound for karaoke.
First, raise the large EFX knob moderately.
Next, adjust the delay. The delay produces the optimum effect by adjusting the multiple knobs.

The REP knob sets how many times the sound is repeated. It is recommended that you use a song that has a slow tempo.
TIM adjusts the length of delay for voice. As you increase it, it will widen the spacial feeling.

Finally, adjust the delay depth with the DEL knob.

REV has the effect of spreading the sound. It has the same effect as echo.

* 1: Delay is an effect that makes the voice repeat like an echo in the mountains and gives a feeling of a large space to the sound.

Speaker connection method

Here we will explain how to connect with the CLASSIC PRO / SKB 05B (Speakon / Banana plug) and the CLASSIC PRO / CSX12 (Speaker).

The KOK1000 is equipped with a 5-way binding post, which allows you to connect a banana plug as well as directly plugging in the speaker cable.

First, connect the banana plug to the KOK1000. Make sure to check and connect + and - cable correctly here.

Then connect the speaker cable to the speaker. There is no ± on this terminal. Just plug it into the speaker and turn it clockwise until you hear a click. The connection is complete.

Output method to external device

The KOK1000 has an external output terminal that can be connected to recording equipment and powered speakers.
In addition, the volume of the external output terminal of the KOK1000 is linked with each main knob (three large knobs on the front panel), and by raising these knobs, the level of the output signal can be adjusted. Here we will explain how to connect using the cassette deck TASCAM / 202MKV and connecting cable CLASSIC PRO / CRR030.

First, connect the CRR 030 to one of the KOK 1000 output terminals.

Then connect the CRR 030 to the 202 MKV INPUT terminal.

The connection is complete.

☆Point

  • The 202MKV allows you to adjust the sound input sensitivity settings. If the sound from the KOK1000 is low, raising the volume of the INPUT equipped in the middle of the 202MKV will increase the volume.
  • You can connect to speakers and amplifiers as well as recording devices.
