Coated type

The surface is made rough by coating, and harmonics and sustain are controlled moderately. If you use a brush, use a coated type. Mainly used for snare drums.

Clear type

Uses clear film. Single film types are also specified at the bottom of toms and floor toms.

Double film

Employs a dual-structure head, durable and plump sound. Sustain is controlled by a double film, and basically it is used for the strike face. Ideal for toms, floor toms, easy to tune and control.

Center dot

By putting a film called a dot on the head, you can get a thick attack and it is the best head for a tight sound. They are also recommended for hard hitters for their high durability.
