The Decade Maple is a utility model that is genre-less and can be used by any player, and the thin (5.4mm) 6-ply shell provides excellent response and plenty of low frequency.

■45° bearing edge
Pearl's long-standing 45° bearing edge provides the perfect blend of attack, warmth, and sustain.

■Opti-Loc Suspension Mount
This is a three-point tom mount system that suspends the tom-toms at two tension bolts and one air hole. This system maximizes the sound of the shell while providing a high level of stability even during intense playing.

■Pearl Superior Shell Technology (= SST)
Decade Maple shells are manufactured with superior shell technology that uses expert craftsmanship to bring out the ultimate in sound. Beginning with the careful selection of the wood, scarf-cut joints are used to mold the wood to a high density and precise thickness. The cellular pores of the ply wood are filled with a proprietary glue and molded under high pressure and temperatures as high as 1000 PSI to produce a strong drum shell with superior tone, best sound, and high durability. In addition, all shells are rigorously inspected for edge flatness and roundness prior to drilling and assembly to ensure the best head mounting and tuning stability.
