TRIPLE SHOT is like three independent distortion pedals combined into one product. The signal from the instrument is divided into three different frequency bands ("DARK," "MEDIUM," and "LIGHT") and fed to each distortion circuit.

The Ashdown PRO FX 18V series is manufactured in the UK using all carefully selected components. All effects are designed to be driven from a linearly isolated 18V power supply to ensure the best signal-to-noise ratio and the lowest possible background noise. This is especially important for high-gain distortion pedals and pedal-type compressors.
Note that all pedals are constructed with a solid steel housing and an anodized aluminum front face. They use genuine Neutrik jack sockets.
Each band has its level control ("ROAST"), so you can emphasize the low end of your bass sound with a fat, robust overdrive tone, enrich the top end with a high-gain treble, or mix the two extremes for a variety of sounds. The bass sound can be mixed and matched to achieve various sound qualities.

Setting all controls to the noon position maintains the bottom end of the original bass signal. It gives you a charming, driven bass sound that cuts across the mix in live "alternative rock" situations.

The rotary control on this pedal is very sensitive, and the slightest adjustment can dramatically change the sound. Each distortion on the TRIPLE SHOT works on signals in the DARK (low range) below 160Hz, MEDIUM (mid-range) 160-760Hz, and LIGHT (high range) 760Hz and up.
