This DC noise filter effectively eliminates noise from DC power supplies. Connect it between your adapter or power supply and your effects pedal to eliminate noise. It supports a maximum current of 1000mA and DC9V-18V.

■ When powering multiple effects pedals from a single power supply, one problem is that noise from high-current digital effects pedals and other devices can circulate around the DC power supply. One type of noise is ""differential mode noise,"" which is emitted through DC power lines, and the other is ""common mode noise."" With a single pedal from each manufacturer, the direction of the electricity flowing to the ground is consistent, so there's no problem. However, when multiple pedals are powered simultaneously from a single power supply, the direction of the electricity flowing to the ground becomes irregular, causing noise from the pedals to travel around the ground and emit noise. Until now, it was considered appropriate to power high-current-consuming pedals, such as digital pedals, with a single AC adapter, since they could potentially become noise sources. Ex-pro has long advised that in such cases, it's best to power them from a separate AC adapter. However, we've now developed a new noise filter (isolator) that is effective against both ""differential mode noise"" and ""common mode noise,"" allowing you to power all your pedals from a single power supply. While our previous prototype filter was developed solely to prevent noise transmitted through the DC cable, the NF-1 not only allows power to be supplied from the power supply to all effects pedals, but also effectively filters out so-called ""bad AC adapters"" that generate hum and switching noise. Simply connect this filter between the DC power source of the power supply and the noise-causing effects pedal to eliminate the noise. It also eliminates unwanted noise from AC adapters that tend to generate noise. This filter's high-current design, with a maximum current of 1A, is compatible with all effects pedals and causes almost no voltage drop.
