Parts corrosion

PEAVEY PC1600X: CH3 always responds and does not stop. It is true that the numerical value always changes regardless of the position of the CH3 fader, so only the numerical information of CH3 is displayed on the display. When I opened the shell and examined the characteristics of the faders, the symptoms indicated there was a short, and the joints near the internal terminals were corroded. In addition, the metal terminals of the backup battery were corroded white and were in a state that would shortly damage the main PCB. Replaced both parts that we happened to have on hand. Immediately after the replacement of the parts, the issue was solved. A final hardware reset was carried out and the repair was completed successfully.

Black color of connector terminal

PRESONUS FIREPOD: The power does not turn on. Certainly there is no conduction reaction even if you turn on the switch, so I checked the inside first. There was a built-in fuse so I checked it, but there was no abnormality. I checked both ends of the switch electrodes and the input end of the power supply transformer, but there was no abnormality. The power turned on when I moved the connector that was extended from the switch and connected on the main PCB; once I pulled out the connector and pulled out the contacts from the housing and checked the contact surface, it just made contact with the male connector, where some blackening could be seen in the part. This part was polished to remove the blackening and the repair was completed.
